LEED Projects

Members of the EC4B Team have completed a significant number of the alternative energy and/or green projects in Upstate NY, all of which have been completed with NYSERDA involvement.

The Medical Arts Building project utilized closed ground source hydronics for the
geothermal system which was installed at that facility, and was the “Award Winning Leader in Energy Efficient and Sustainable HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical Design for Environmental Leadership Awards; April 2008”. The Corn Hill Landing project utilized open source geothermal hydronics, and was the winner of the “ASHRAE Regional Technology Award; 1st Place 2006 Region 1”, which encompasses eight states.

In addition to these projects, members of EC4B provided numerous alternative energy designs to our customers, with more than 60 cogeneration facilities. In the case of Harbec Plastics (Ontario, NY), we also incorporated a 250 kW wind Turbine into the 750 kW cogeneration facility, providing a true hybrid plant where power to the facility can be delivered from three sources – cogeneration, wind, and the local utility.

Other LEED based projects include:
