The EC4B Design Team provided the construction documents for HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Electrical Systems for the mixed use residential/commercial, 10-story existing "art deco" Medical Arts Building.
HVAC System Design included a core package (common spaces, lobbies, corridors, and stairwells) incorporating a water source heat pump system, individual space heat pumps and residential ductwork layouts. Engineering and Design of Geothermal Heat Pump System and associated well field.
Plumbing and Fire Protection Design included domestic hot and cold water, sanitary drainage, storm drainage, medical gas, and wet-type sprinkler systems incorporating a diesel fire pump.
Electrical Design included a new building system entrance and central distribution equipment, including the interconnection of diesel powered emergency generator. Design also includes individual tenant metering and fire alarm system design.
This project was deemed an Award Winning Leader in Energy Efficient and Sustainable HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical Design by the "Environmental Leadership Awards" in April 2008.
